The Onam lunch at my place this year was taking place after a gap of more than six years. Started when we first set up office in Chennai, I had my entire team (of seven nine people) come home for lunch on a Saturday before Onam. We had a good time; the team being small had always shared an easy work-style and a sense of camaraderie prevailed in the workplace. However, lunch was a different environment and it allowed all of us to really have a good time. The food of course was traditional Kerala style, and those who were not staying with their family enjoyed the home-cooked food. Of course, as the size grew larger, we started ordering food from outside, and slowly, when we got acquired and became part of a very large company, this all together stopped.
So, this was a good opportunity to revive this fun tradition and I thought I'd start it all over again - starting with a small crowd of people who were from the INSYST days.
Here are some snaps from the event.
